“Road Trippin’”

“Road Trippin’ is inspired by literally 2 road trips that Brenda and I did in June of this year (2026). 

Our first trip was “fly dates” out to Los Angeles as I was performing with Arturo Sandoval and am a member of his band, at “Blue Note Los Angeles.” 

Our second trip was literally a “road trip” in a rented car. We drove from Fort Worth, TX to Phoenix, AZ to play a show together. Brenda being a French Horn player, we played in the horn section together. 

Our next stop was Los Angeles, where she dropped me off at LAX so I could fly out to Rochester, NY to perform at the Rochester Jazz Festival with Arturo and the band. 

I flew back to LAX the day after, and we departed back for Fort Worth... stopping at the Grand Canyon just outside Flagstaff, AZ and having an amazing time the whole way. 

Being a musician couple, of course music was a major part of our journey and we talked about creating a song that would convey the experiences, the scenery, and the great time we shared during this trip! 

Hence, we present, “Road Trippin’!”
